Heading into the bottom of the fifth, the Toronto Blue Jays were in a troubling situation. Down 5-2 and having barely survived a loaded set of bases, the team needed an answer. Fortunately, Randal Grichuk and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. were able to step up and lead a 4 run inning.

Down 1, however, the Toronto Blue Jays needed a little extra offence to keep them in striking distance. At the bottom of the 7th, George Springer launched his second home-run of the evening – eventually leading to the team’s victory in extra innings.

Despite knocking off his first two home-runs with the team, there are still some concerns regarding his overall health. During the game, Springer grabbed at the quad that he had pulled earlier this season while rehabbing an injured oblique. While he is now in the line-up, it may be some time till he is back in the out field.
